Our self catering wine farm cottages let you escape from city life and indulge in the luxury of nature’s beauty and splendour.

Discover a haven of stillness, where quiet bird “noise” is the only disturbance. The wine farm cottages have no television or cellphone signal, no electricity (with an abundance of hot water) you’re in for a country treat to remember. Thanks to GPS, here your iPad is good for only one thing – to get the best out of your Starwalk app – you’ve never experienced starlife as you’ll do on our farm!

The whole idea? To relax and make time for yourself and the family int he wine farme cottages. Enjoy long, but easy, mountain walks. Meander through the vineyards. Smell the fynbos. Look and listen takes on a new meaning, enjoy the sounds presented by birdlife - natures own musicians.

A weekend in our beautifully appointed wine farm cottages is all you need to recharge to face the real noise of city living. Children and friends are all welcome. As well as mother-in-law.

Situated only 20 km east of Stanford, Hermanuspietersfontein Boerdery is a wine farm which offers you the unique combination of magnificent mountains, pristine fynbos and clear mountain streams with beautifully tended vineyards.

Kleinboet Fully furnished, one bedroom double bed accommodation. Self contained with bedding and towels, a shower and running hot water. Sleeps 2 guests with both indoor and outdoor braai facilities Rate: R500.00 per night

Bloos Fully furnished, one bedroom double bed accommodation. Self contained with bedding and towels, a shower and running hot water. Sleeps 2 guests with both indoor and outdoor braai facilities. Rate: R500.00 per night

Swartskaap The annex cottage, ideally suited to children. Sleeps 2 guests This cottage needs to be shared with any of the above cottages as it does not have its own self catering facilities. Swartskaap has its own bathroom with a bath (maar die donkie moet gestook word vir warm water). Rate: R150.00 per person – max. 2 guests

In each cottage we provide:

• Linen, pillows, duvets and blankets
• Cutlery, cooking equipment and all kitchen utensils
• Bathroom soap and toilet paper
• Firewood for both inside & outside braai facilities
• Information booklet on birds, fynbos and surrounding areas
• Hermanuspietersfontein Wines available in an honesty cash bar
• 4x4 rides can be organised on the neighbouring farm

Bookings terms and conditions:

• The rates quoted are per cottage per night and include full use of the self catering cottages and surrounding facilities on the farm (walking trails, bird watching and picnic spots as well as walks through the vineyards).
• Rates include 14% V.A.T.
• Rates are subject to change without written notice.
• We require 50% deposit to secure your booking, irrespective of length of stay.
• Should the deposit not be received, Hermanuspietersfontein reserves the right to cancel the booking

Occupancy policy:

• We guarantee that your Cottage will be ready for you after 14h00. Should you wish to arrive early, prior arrangements need to be made.
• On the day of departure we request that you vacate your cottage by 11h00. Should you require a late departure, please advise us. We will do our best to accommodate your request.
• As we are located on a working wine farm, your time of arrival must be confirmed to ensure that your hostess is on hand to receive you and provide you with the necessary check-in documentation, keys and directions to the cottages.

Cancellation policy:

• Cancellation notice of 30 days or more : 50% of deposit is refundable
• Cancellation notice of between 15 and 29 days : 25% of deposit refundable
• Cancellation notice of 14 days or less : no deposit refundable

Ek het elke oomblik hier op geniet – sekerlik meer as enige iets anders. Ek is hier in die ou postal (nou gesloop) naby die ingang van die plaas gebore en grootgeword – meer as 80 jaar gelede!
Ek is ‘n groot natuurliefhebber en is verheug oor die indringerbome wat uitgeroei is en vir die baie fynbos wat hervestig is. Ek sou graag in die Waaboomsrivier Kloof wou gaan stap waar daar in my tyd nog baie wabome was. Die voels is nog net so pragtig en volop soos daardie tyd.
Ek is vandag baie trots om ‘n ou inwoner van hierdie spogplaas te wees.

Ek sit her en skryf, hier by die brandende kers, heel gepas, ‘n boodskappie. Wat ‘n verassing was HPF nie vir ons stadsjapies gewees nie. Glad nie wat ons verwag het nie! O gaats! Geen TV, geen krag en geen opvangs vir ons selfone nie! Maar ons het die 3 dae so werklikwaar toe ook oorleef! Die sterre is darem maar mooi hier! Die ryp druiwe trosse nooi ons uit om te pluk en die naggeluide neem enige gesprek oor!
